Good app for notifying you of new messages. You no longer have to keep a tab open to check FB, too! The notifications could use a bit of tweaking, though, because I’ll often be notified of something that I’ve already seen/read on another device like an iPad. Notifications of new messages also run a bit late, but it shouldn’t be a problem unless you rely on quick responses. Overall, I think this app is worth the $0.99!

This app is a real convenience and it keeps facebook from chewing up system memory allocations. The UI is very intuitive with the exception that, if you opened it from the menubar on a monitor other than your primary monitor, then you will have to resize it every time you open it in order to get it to show up on that monitor. The resizing on the primary monitor pops it over to monitor you opened it under while you’re still resizing it. This is a fairly glaring bug intruduced with the advent of menu bars showing up on all monitors in Maverics so I expect they will be fixing on future releases.

The bugs are overwhelming. Most photo albums include a hefty chunk left blank because for some reason certain photos refuse to load. Fix that please and I’ll be happy. Sick of being tagged in photos I cannot even see.

I’ve certainly seen worse, but I can’t figure out how to stop notifications on individual posts. Sometimes I make a comment and then I’m done with it and don’t want to be notified whenever anyone else comments. I can do it on my iPad but not my MacAir.

I really thought this could be Great …thinking highy of this app. I used iTunes to download this a 2-3 weeks ago. IDK what is interfering with this app. I get sent over to my Mail page as I am Playing FV2 on Facebook. ****Then again I do not use this app because it only opens in the center of my screen & is not complete to use for my Facebook modus operandi :( Bummer. **** It does give me the incoming current FB updates re: friends… It also give me my Mail and sends me while in Play in a game on FB. I do not Fully Get this App. !?!? It works as intended, however, i’m looking for a adjustable external message system, not a whole facebook program.

I need some help. Well I went ahead with the update and it’s not working at all! Just the blank blue screen is showing and nothing else. I’m very dissatisfied and frustrated! I’m hoping there’s something that can be done besides uninstalling and re installing and paying yet again for this app. 08-14-14 Every so many months it acts up to where it needs to be uninstalled then reinstalled. I have had to pay each time for the same thing. The very last time when it was reinstalled like a few weeks ago it finally remembered that I had already paid, thank goodness. I like the app because I don’t have to get online just to go to the FB page. But I also wish that the app wouldn’t have so many problems. If I have another problem with it I will unintall it for good. But other than that I like it, so please fix the issues. Thank you 05- 13-14

Hi contacted support, they had me do a couple of precedures but none helped, then just gave up and never contacted me again :( before the app failed I really liked it.

Have been using this application for years and it did what it said, but the latest update is not working at all...

Basically this birngs the mobile version of Facebook to your desktop. Which is all you really need for things like reading your time line, posting statuses and photos, and general light use of Facebook. Heavy users might find themselves going to the website still, but for average users this is handy and stays nicely out of the way when you don’t need it. My only complaint would be that some notifications don’t seem to show up in the Mac notification center.

This is a really convenient app to use. Notifications are real time (ie. fast) and whatever I would have wanted to do in the facebook browser I can do with this app. There are however, a few improvements I think it could use: 1. Being able to press enter to send a message instead of having to manually click send 2. More intuitive gestures - instead of having to go to the bottom of the application to press back or home (which are still good features), it would be nice if I was also able to scroll back/forth as I can do in the chrome and safari browsers. 3. A fast click button to scroll all the way to the top again. Hope to see these changes in the next updates, but I’m happy with what it is so far.

This app started out ok… Then you have to pay to unlock features. Now it is so buggy that I can not even use it anymore. Waste of time and money.

It’s pretty convenient with not having to open a web browser all the time. Notifications work good. Pretty much like having the mobile app on the computer now. I give it a B+

This app, just like their Gmail app, is just awesome. It’s so nice to have something that doesn’t take up a browser window. Love it.

Installed this app about a week or so ago, and am very pleased with how it works. It allows me to view my FB without having to open the full program. Very convenient, and non-obtrusive on my screen. It alerts me of pertinent information that makes things easier while on the go too many times. Thanks Developers, keep up the good job.

I like this app but it would be better if there was a way to mark all notifications as “read” instead of having to click each one. Thanks!

I had hoped that the Facebook app was an app to make the Facebook services seamless in my Macbook like they are in my iPhone … it’s turned out to be more of an annoyance to me than anything else. And, it has commercials! Yes, there are “ads” on it! I’m removing it after this rating.

I just downloaded it because the concept seemed fantastic. Sure enough.. it was! I love it! Quick and easy access to all the legitimate functions of Facebook. I’ll be using this all the time. Way to go folks.
